Position Summary

This role is a temporary position with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role.

At the Westborough office, our Product Development teams provide solutions to our customers through the design and development of AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies. In this role, you will:

  • Manually and mechanically assemble, set up, and operate assembly equipment and tools.
  • Inspect and repair products.
  • Use visual aids, verbal and written instructions, and documentation for assembly work.
  • Inspect and reject defective component parts before assembly.
  • Perform hand soldering for rework and repair, including trace cuts, wire additions, and using a hot air blower for component removal and addition.
     

Job Duties/Responsibilities

•    Perform electrical/PCB assembly and build.
•    Use solder stations for SMT and thru-hole components.
•    Experienced in SMT rework by hand with attention to detail.
•    Assemble, upgrade, and rework electronic products.
•    Prepare wiring, cutting, crimping, soldering, and connector assembly.
•    Inspect for physical and visual quality.
•    Work with minimal supervision.
•    Maintain detailed, accurate records.
•    Label and identify assemblies in Proto area.
•    Follow instructions for best methods and procedures.
•    Ensure all products have a traveler tag for process identification.
•    Ensure quality of work for internal and external customers.
 

Experience Required

•    High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
•    1-3 years of relevant experience.
•    Electronics manufacturing certification to IPC standards (IPC 610, IPC 7711, IPC 7721).
•    Knowledge of digital and analog electronics and repair methodologies.
•    Proficiency in MS Office applications.
•    In-depth knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications, and SMT processing systems.

Work Environment

This position is an on-site role, with 1 flex day per week of remote work.

Compensation Data

The salary range for this role is $24/hour - $27/hour.
