Position Summary

The Technical Product Marketing Manager is a customer-facing, technically driven role that bridges hands-on engineering support with foundational product marketing responsibilities. You will play a critical part in enabling the adoption and success of advanced power electronics solutions, including AC-DC and DC-DC conversion products, front-end power supplies, and board-mounted modules. This position combines deep technical applications expertise with the ability to translate customer needs into market-ready solutions, product enhancements, and compelling messaging. You will work closely with engineering, product management, sales, and marketing communications teams to ensure customer success, influence product roadmaps, and drive go-to-market execution.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Technical Customer Support & Application Assistance

  • Serve as a primary resource for addressing customer technical questions related to product features, performance, and application suitability.
  • Assist in collecting and documenting customer requirements to support product development and engineering teams.
  • Participate in Voice of Customer (VoC) activities by gathering product feedback during customer interactions.

Product Marketing & Technical Messaging

  • Support the creation of value propositions, product positioning statements, and competitive messaging for power conversion products.
  • Prepare promotional and technical materials, including product briefs, comparison guides, application notes, and FAQs, to support customer engagements and sales initiatives.
  • Present product roadmaps and technology updates to customers, ensuring they understand current offerings and future development plans.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends to inform product strategy and identify differentiation opportunities.

Market Insight & Product Strategy Support

  • Conduct foundational market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and emerging technologies within the electronics and power markets.
  • Support product marketing and product management teams with data gathering and analysis to inform product roadmaps.
  • Help identify early growth opportunities in markets such as data centers, automation, robotics, or energy storage.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, business development, and operations teams to ensure smooth product introduction and lifecycle management.
  • Participate in internal product readiness reviews to track deliverables for launches.
  • Coordinate with MarCom to support basic content creation and campaign preparation.

Sales Enablement & Technical Content Support

  • Assist in preparing sales training materials, demos, and product launch kits.
  • Create simplified technical explanations to help sales teams effectively convey product benefits.
  • Support channel partners and global teams with tailored technical content.

 

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical support, product marketing, or product management, preferably in the power electronics industry.
  • Strong technical foundation in power electronics, including AC‑DC and DC‑DC conversion, topologies, efficiency optimization, and thermal management principles.
  • Proficiency with hands‑on bench work, including the use of test and debug equipment.
  • Ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting and applying market and technical data.
  • Highly self‑driven, persistent, and capable of thriving in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM, PLM, or product marketing tools is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30-40%.

Work Environment

This position is an on-site role, with one flex day per week of remote work.

Compensation Data

The salary range for this position based in Westborough, MA is $148,000/year - $167,000/year.

The salary range for this position based in San Jose, CA is $167,200/year - $187,000/year.

The salary range listed is based on market data and internal benchmarks. Actual compensation may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
