Position Summary

At the Toronto Design Centre, our Product Development teams provide solutions to our customers through the design and development of AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies. 

In this role, you will be responsible for design, documentation, and integration of digital hardware and software into power supplies as well as qualification of the resulting designs and integration into customer systems.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform HIL and SIL System testing by using Vector tools such as Canoe, VtestSTudio, etc
  • Development of software test scripts utilizing Python or other common programming languages.
  • Work with OEM and/or Tier 1 customers to replicate their test environment and perform tests as carried out by them
  • Must perform CAN Network Management and Physical level Testing by creating test plan to validate customer requirements.
  • Should control lab equipment’s such as temperature chambers, oscilloscopes and similar hardware equipment’s using LabVIEW or scripting language (Python) to perform black box testing
  • Should be comfortable working with power electronics development environment
  • Participate in determining test methodology, test strategy, test plan development and test setups.
  • Create, update, release, and document test report in system according to planned deliverables at each milestone
  • Perform testing for power supply & energy management system.

Experience Required

Education / Experience:

  • Electronics Engineering Degree
    • Engineer = PEO Licensed
    • Designer = Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must have 4+ years of experience working in Automotive ECU Testing and Qualification
  • Experience working Power electronics related ECUs such as ABS, On Board Chargers, Battery Management Systems considered an asset
  • Should have Experienced in communication protocols like CAN, CAN-FD, I2C, SPI.
  • Proficient in Diagnostic Testing : UDS, J1939, KWP2000, CANOE Diva CDD based testing, vFlash testing.
  • Experience in Python scripting and C (Programming Language). Proficient in testing tools like Vector's CANoe,  VTSystem, vTestStudio, CAPL scripting, VectorCast, LabView
  • Customer interactions, Requirement Analysis, Test automation, Test Case Writing, Bug Tracking, Test strategy.
  • Hands on experience doing Black Box Testing and using test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators,
  • Experienced working with Confluence, Jira, DOORS, Git
  • Work with software /firmware developers to identify test opportunities in test applications and methods.
