Position Summary

The Quality Systems Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance of the Quality System Manual, policies, processes, standards, and systems for the Company.  Leading continuous improvement initiative to the quality system. Tasks also include Functional Safety Management role on NPI project teams. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Maintain and continuously improve the QMS to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, customer, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development, revision, implementation, and control of QMS policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
  • Monitor changes to applicable standards and customer requirements and assess their impact on the QMS.

Internal & External Audits

  • Manage the internal audit program, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate preparation and support for IATF, ISO, customer, and other external audits.
  • Track audit findings and ensure timely and effective closure of corrective actions and opportunities for improvement.

Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement

  • Support investigation and resolution of QMS nonconformities and coordinate corrective action activities.
  • Facilitate root-cause analysis and verify corrective action effectiveness.
  • Identify and lead QMS improvement initiatives to strengthen process effectiveness and compliance.

Quality Performance & Management Review

  • Collect, analyze, and report QMS and Quality Department KPIs and support functional teams with KPI development and monitoring.
  • Coordinate Management Review activities, including data collection, analysis, action tracking, and follow-up.

Training & Awareness

  • Develop and deliver training on QMS requirements, applicable standards, internal auditing, and quality processes.
  • Promote awareness of quality, compliance, risk-based thinking, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Functional Safety & NPI Support

  • Support ISO 26262 Functional Safety activities as a member of New Product Introduction (NPI) project teams.
  • Support quality and compliance activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

Other Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to process owners on QMS requirements and compliance.
  • Perform other quality and compliance-related duties and projects as assigned.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree (5-7 years’ experience) or Master’s Degree (3-5 years’ experience) in a technical or related field.
  • Experienced with electric vehicle power conversation technologies, standards, and regulations considered as advantage
  • Familiar with automotive product development process including APQP/PPAP and ASPICE.
  • ISO 26262 Functional Safety: 3 years minimum (Considered as advantage).
  • ISO 9001: 5 years minimum (Required).
  • ISO 14001: 3 years minimum (Required).
  • IATF 16949: 5 years minimum (Required).
  • Significant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Strong knowledge of the latest Automotive tools and techniques.
  • Automotive Quality Management System Auditing experience and managing audit programs.

Work Environment

This position is an on-site role, with one flex day per week of remote work.

Compensation Data

Salary range for this role is CAD $77,600/year to $87,300/year. The range listed is based on market data and internal benchmarks. Actual compensation may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
