Calex Manufacturing Inc., which was acquired by Murata Power Solutions in 2018, has been in business for more than 50 years, designing and manufacturing DC-DC power converters for automotive, transportation and industrial applications. Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing shipments of power electronics components and finished products.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices; verify item quantity, quality, and pricing.
- Create MPS labels for each part and reel, ensuring correct manufacturer lot and date codes.
- Prepare shipping documentation (IATA, hazmat, customs) and labels for final inspection.
- Pack finished goods and other items for shipment.
- Plan and schedule outgoing shipments; coordinate with freight carriers.
- Post weight and shipping charges; maintain detailed shipment records.
- Register shipments on the Government Portal for export control.
- Perform material handling and logistical tasks for manufacturing and prototype PCB production.
- Operate equipment such as reel counters, weigh scales, and pallet jacks.
- Control inventory accuracy through cycle counting and discrepancy reconciliation.
- Pick kits for production or prototype operations.
- Process receiving, stockroom, and shipping transactions in the ERP system quickly and accurately.
- Ensure order accuracy, record and verify lot numbers, and obtain secondary verifications.
- Support and practice the Calex Quality Assurance policy (ISO 9001 compliance).
- Interact with peers and departments to resolve issues and communicate build status based on ship schedules.
Experience Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 3 years of relevant shipping and receiving work experience.
- Knowledge of logistics systems, SMT materials, electronics packaging, and electronics terms.
- Proficient in computer applications, including inventory management systems, shipping software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Basic math skills and ability to read and assimilate job documentation.
- Ability to maintain detailed, accurate and organized records.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal customers.
Physical Requirements
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 40 pounds or the maneuvering of any package weighing up to 200 pounds with the appropriate equipment or assistance from another person.
Work Environment
While performing essential responsibilities, the employee regularly works near moving parts, is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and to toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to vibration and extreme heat. The noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation Data
The pay range for this role is $26.44/hr to $28.00/hr. The salary range listed is based on market data and internal benchmarks. Actual compensation may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
