Position Summary

The Material Coordinator is responsible for managing materials in the plant and maintain integrity of inventory records in ERP system for Calex site of Murata Power Solutions. This position is also responsible for tactical purchasing of KANBAN. The position will have a dotted line reporting to Purchasing Supervisor.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Controls inventories of raw materials and finished goods to ensure that product availability meets production schedule, customer demand and product development.
  • Material Coordinator will coordinate incoming, picking and shipping of materials, conferring with user departments to determine progress of work and completion dates.
  • Reports progress of work, inventory levels, and problems.
  • Controls Inventory accuracy through process control and cycle counting. Investigates and reconciles discrepancies and reports finings to Supervisor when applicable.
  • Liquidates outdated stock and takes actions to resolve out-of-stock situations.
  • Maintains and updates inventory records in ERP.
  • Quality focused. Check orders for quantity accuracy, record and check lot numbers, obtain secondary verifications as required. Perform incoming and outgoing inspections as needed.
  • Execute Purchase Requisition for assigned production materials per ERP/MRP.
  • Interacts with various internal and external groups to facilitate the completion of all activities.
  • Back-up of Production Planning; administration support to Calex office, as required.

 

 

Experience Required

  • High School Diploma preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in supply chain, inventory, financial analysis.

Compensation Data

The hourly rate for this role is $23.00/hr- $25.00/hr.

The salary range listed is based on market data and internal benchmarks. Actual compensation may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
